'Girl Rising' Screening Ticket Sales

As part of Girl Effect Week at CLU, Muvico in Thousand Oaks will screen the documentary "Girl Rising" on March 7 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets purchased at CLU will be $5 for CLU students and $10 for non-CLU. Cash only.
10x10 is a global action campaign for girls’ education. At its heart is "Girl Rising" – a new feature film. Together, 10x10 and Girl Rising promote a powerful truth: educating girls can change the world. One girl is a revolution!
The March 7 event will promote International Women's Day (March 8) and is the highlighted event for Girl Effect Week at CLU. The evening will include speakers from the non-profit organizations Voice 4 Girls and the Mona Foundation as well as performances highlighting education as a crucial component of international development. When given the opportunity, women and girls are effective at lifting themselves and their families out of poverty, thereby having a multiplier effect within their villages, cities, and nations.
