Academic Advisor/Adjunct Faculty Member
Loredana Carson, M.P.P.A., teaches the Foundation courses for all International students in the School of Management, including the MBA program, MPPA program, MSCS and MS-IST programs. The course (Advanced Academic Practices) focuses on the academic writing and communication skills required by graduate students at the university as well as presenting library research skills and citation style guides. In addition, she serves as an Academic Advisor in the MPPA Department. Her recent experience includes serving as Co-Director of the Ventura County Adult Education Consortium which was charged with the planning phase of AB86 implementation. This legislation mandated that community colleges and adult education facilities coordinate their planning for future program offerings and insured that the two programs worked welll together and avoided duplication and served the county as a whole. The planning phase culminated with a report to the legislators and Gov. Brown to prove that the county had carried out the intent of the legislation.
