Profile

Since 1989, Mike has been a member of CLU's Shool of Management adjunct faculty.

He spent fourteen years in corporate America with Bendix and Allied Signal corporations, and has been an owner or partner in two firms.  Positions he held included acquisition manager, divisional marketing manager, new product development manager, distribution manager, national sales manager and marketing communications manager.  Since 1989, Mike has been in the consulting industry.

Outside of Mike’s day-to-day professional activities, he has been an adjunct professor in California Lutheran University’s (Thousand Oaks, CA) evening MBA program for working adults since 1989.  In 2007, Mike helped start California Lutheran University’s first Entrepreneur Roundtable program, designed to help entrepreneurs start their enterprises outside of the classroom.  He has also served on the Advisory Board of the Southern California Edison/California Lutheran University Venture Forum.

He holds a B.S., Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University (Bethlehem, PA), and a M.B.A. from Loyola Marymount University, (Los Angeles, CA).  Mike has also been certified by the Center for Creative Leadership (Greensboro, North Carolina) to conduct 360º leader, manager and team assessment and development processes.

Expertise

As Director, Operations, Mike oversees the day-to-day functions of CFO 911 Solutions from planning and managing marketing/sales programs, business development, assigning consultants to appropriate engagements and managing projects.  Mike also helps executives evaluate their organization’s design, accounting, financial and human capital strong / weak points.  He provides leader and manager development support, while helping executives plan and implement strategic initiatives.  Clients include organization from pre-revenue startups to Fortune 1000 public corporations.

Within the Green Industry, Mike is on the Membership Committee of the Los Angeles Venture Association (www.lava.org), where entrepreneurs and executives of middle-market companies actively meet and learn from fellow executives, investors, bankers, financial advisors and other providers of professional services.  He moderates the Los Angeles Venture Association’s monthly Clean Tech Special Interest group.  As a Board member of the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce (www.sacc-gla.org), he helps facilitate trade between Sweden and the United States.  He also serves on their Green Business Committee.

Mike has been the keynote speaker to organizations such as the California Cast Metals Association, City of Simi Valley, Distribution Management Association, Loyola Marymount University’s MBA Alumni Association, National Human Resource Association, XIRCOM and the Woodworking Institute of California on the topics of leadership and strategy development.
