Marja Mogk received her B.A. High Honors in English from the University of Michigan and her Ph.D. in English from U.C. Berkeley with an interdisciplinary dissertation in disability studies.
Her essays and reviews have appeared in M/MLA (journal of the Midwest Modern Language Association) and JVIB (the Journal of Visual Impairment & Blindness). She is the editor of Different Bodies: Disability in Film and Television (forthcoming from McFarland) and the co-author of of Macular Degeneration: The Complete Guide to Saving and Maximizing Your Sight (Ballantine 2003).
She teaches film, drama, and playwriting. She is also interested in crime fiction, historical fiction,and commercial fiction writing.
