Renee S. Rock, M.A.
Reneé Rock has taught managerial communication and writing in the undergraduate and MBA programs at CLU and Cal State Northridge since 2007. Prior to joining the CLU faculty, Reneé held management positions in corporate communications in technology, aerospace, nonprofit consulting, and venture capital industries. Reneé founded her first company, Khamillion Cosmetics, at the age of 22. She went on to found two more companies between 1986 and 1994. An early pioneer in digital content, she served as e-business communications specialist in corporate communications for Honeywell Aerospace from 1999 to 2002 and as managing director of business development for Summit Venture Capital Group from 2002 to 2007. During her tenure at SVCG, Reneé served as interim vice president of marketing and business development at several start-up companies. She is the president of her own business consulting firm and develops business plans for early stage start-up companies. She has coached executives and conducted numerous workshops on writing, presentations, and team communication for organizations across the globe. Her research interests include intercultural communication, genre analysis, professional writing, rhetoric, and team communication.
