Silvina Bamrungpong has worked for over 25 years as a business and technology professional in Southern California and is an alumna of California Lutheran University where she earned a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship. As a lifelong learner she continued her studies at Fielding Graduate University’s School of Human and Organizational Development earning a Master of Arts in Human Development followed by a Doctor of Philosophy in Human Organizational Systems. For the School of Management, at California Lutheran University, Silvina teaches business courses that span information technology, marketing, market research and consumer behavior, social marketing, ethics, business communication, and management.
Silvina's research is situated in the examination of organizational, community, and social systems through studies in management, systems theory, and related social sciences. Her work also touches on information society and knowledge organizations that focuses on the ways in which media, information, and knowledge are transforming our societies, cultures, organizations, and our own selves.
Her current research emphasizes the use of digital and physical spaces towards the creation of immersive and interactive environments. Beyond this, research interests include various media, but specifically transmedia, designing educational and professional environments for 21st century learners and beyond, systems theory, social entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation, and story/storytelling in its various forms.

Silvina brings over 25 years of business and technology expertise working for companies such as KPMG Peat Marwick, General Motors, and FISERV where she held several executive positions.
Silvina served on the editorial advisery and review board for three book chapters for Virtual Environments for Corporate Education: Employee Learning and Solutions - author: William Ritke-Jones (Cybermations Consulting Group, USA) Copyright: 2010
She also assisted and coordinated with Dr. Barnett Pearce in editorial revisions for Wikipedia articles/entries for his theory of Coordinated Management of Meaning (CMM) in both the technical and editorial aspects of the articles/entries.
