Basic FunctionCalifornia Lutheran University’s Department of Teacher Education invites applications for part-time teacher candidate field supervisors. We are seeking supervisors with background in either, General Education, Special Education or Deaf and Hard of Hearing Education. This position requires the candidate to visit teacher candidates at their various school sites to provide coaching, support and evaluation. Workload varies each semester based on enrollment. Stipends based on the number of candidates being supervised and mileage reimbursement is provided. Becoming trained (provided by CLU) to score the California TPA is also expected.
Education and ExperienceApplicants must have a valid multiple subject, single subject, or educational specialist (mild to moderate, moderate to sever of deaf and hard of hearing) credential. Recent retirees from the K -12 community are encouraged to apply. Qualified applicants will be committed to helping our teacher candidates develop practical skills for effective classroom teaching. Knowledge of the California Teaching Performance Expectations and the Common Core is preferred.
