Basic Function
The Bachelor’s Degree for Professionals at California Lutheran University invites applications for a new tenure-track faculty position and department chair for the Organizational Leadership degree program to begin August 2015. The successful candidate will be a generalist who will teach primarily undergraduate courses in leadership, management, organizational behavior, and other courses within the candidate’s area of expertise. Other responsibilities include advising of non-traditional adult undergraduate students and serving on university committees. A doctorate in business, management, leadership, or a closely related field is required. A broad-based business education, evidence of quality teaching, demonstrated potential for scholarly research, and professional experience in business are vital qualifications. Knowledge of non-traditional adult learners and interest in online education is desired. The successful candidate’s primary responsibility will be teaching courses in the evening at our Woodland Hills campus with a few additional courses (undergraduate or graduate) taught in the School of Management at our main campus in Thousand Oaks. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about teaching and committed to the campus community. ABD considered with doctorate earned by July 2016.
