Basic FunctionCalifornia Lutheran University (CLU) invites applications and nominations for the position of Dean of the School of Management. The Dean is one of three reporting to the Provost, along with the deans of the College of Arts and Sciences and of the Graduate School of Education.
Located in the beautiful community of Thousand Oaks, halfway between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara and 15 miles from the coast, CLU is a growing comprehensive university serving 2,800 undergraduate and 1,400 graduate students. About 600 undergraduates and 750 graduate students, including more than 200 international students, are in the School of Management. As one of CLU’s three principal academic units, the School of Management offers programs at the undergraduate, graduate, and professional levels. These include undergraduate majors in accounting, business administration, and economics; master’s degrees in computer science, economics, public policy and administration, and information systems; four MBA programs; post-master’s certificate programs; and adult undergraduate degree programs in accounting, business management, and organizational leadership. In addition to programs offered on the main campus, some programs are offered fully on-line and at campus centers in Oxnard and Woodland Hills, as well as in Graz, Austria.

The appointee is expected to take office in July 2013.
