Interlibrary Loan on the Web
Submit interlibrary loans online at: http://www.callutheran.edu/iss/research/forms/ill.php
Click on the link pertaining to your request need. You'll find a link for the following request types:
- Book chapter
- Journal article
- Thesis / Dissertation
Please provide as much information as possible. Complete a separate form for each item requested.
The lending library will establish the loan period. For books, it is usually 3-4 weeks. Renewals are sometimes possible if requested BEFORE the due date.Waiting
The waiting period is based on many factors, but we always try to obtain your material as soon as possible. Articles are usually delivered to your CLU email within 1-2 days; books can take about 4-7 days. Please plan your research needs ahead of time so that you have your material before your deadline.
Normally there is no charge for books. Most articles are sent via e-mail in PDF format for no charge. If there are special lending charges, we will contact you.
We have recently added a comprehensive, full-text dissertation database to our collection.
As part of the Interlibrary Loan Services, CLU Pearson Library will also borrow dissertations for patrons if needed. Faculty and Graduate students in the EDD program are exempt from these charges.
Occasionally, due to the unavailability of a dissertation via Interlibrary Loan, CLU Pearson Library may choose to purchase the dissertation at no cost to the patron. The dissertation may then be borrowed as part of our circulating collection.
Individuals who would like to purchase a dissertation for themselves may do so by calling UMI at (800) 521-3042.
