Help Desk Student Services
ISS offers virus and spyware removal, plus internet connection assistance.
PLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately, ISS does not handle hardware problems for student / personal computers. Stores like Best Buy and Circuit City, both of which are local to the campus, can provide you with the assistance you need to get your computer running smoothly again. Also, be sure to check whether or not your system is still under warranty; if it is, you more than likely will be able to have the company (Dell, HP, etc.) fix it for little or no cost. Please contact your respective computer companies for more information regarding repairs covered by warranties.
Virus and Spyware Removal. ISS can remove viruses and spyware affecting your personal computer for a fee of $25, which is charged to your student account. If you would like to use this service, please bring your laptop w/ power supply, or your desktop tower, to the Help Desk in the Pearson Library.
Internet Connection Set Up and Difficulties. Having trouble connecting to the wireless internet? Having internet problems in general? If you are still experiencing difficulties after checking the FAQ section concerning internet connection, ISS can help you set up wireless connections free of charge. Just bring in your laptop w/ power supply, or your desktop tower to the Help Desk during regular business hours.
Norton Anti-Virus Installation. ISS can install CLU's version of the Norton Anti-Virus software on your personal computer free of charge. If you would like to have this installation done on your system, please bring your laptop w/ power supply, or your desktop tower, to the Help Desk in the Pearson Library.
