Program Highlights
Students in the Master of Science in Counseling Psychology program focus on the family as an interactive system and gain ideal preparation for a successful career as professional marital and family therapists.
The program offers extensive access to CLU’s on-campus Community Counseling Services Center, where students participate in a 12-month practicum and obtain up to 500 hours applicable to the California licensing requirement. Students also benefit from an atmosphere designed to facilitate growth as a therapist and to create exceptional learning opportunities.
"I chose CLU because I had a wonderful undergraduate experience here and did not feel as though I had tapped all of the resources at this university. The promotion of personal relationships between students and staff is one of the biggest strengths here, besides the quality of the curriculum.
The professors here know me, so they know my strengths as well as the areas in which I can grow."
