Jarvis Streeter, Ph.D.
Professor of Religion
A specialist in historical, systematic and philosophical theology, Dr. Streeter has particular interests in the Christian doctrines of God, Christology and soteriology, and human nature and sin, as well as historical Jesus studies and the relationship between science and theology. He is the author of Human Nature, Human Evil and Religion: Ernest Becker and Christian Theology, a work on the relationship between the social sciences and Christian theology, and is currently completing work on a new book, God and the History of the Universe. He is a member of the American Academy of Religion and a founding member of the ELCA's Association of Teaching Theologians.
