Who We Are
The Intramural Sports program at California Lutheran University is designed to combine physical, social, and recreational well-being by offering a diverse program of sports, leagues, and activities. Through the Intramural Sports program, we encourage the participation of sports along with fellowship and healthy competition. Students, faculty, and staff come together and enjoy the experience of good competition, sportsmanship, physical activity, and healthy active lifestyles fostered through CLU's IM program.
Throughout the year this program creates several opportunities for students to travel off campus and experience recreational activities. In the past students have experienced hiking, rock climbing, white water rafting, snowboarding, surfing and other activities. Some of the trips have included hiking in Yosemite, snowboarding in Utah, rock climbing in Joshua Tree and surfing in Ventura. Every August before the fall semester begins, this program also operates a wilderness orientation program for incoming freshmen called Telios. During this unique opportunity, students spend a week at Yosemite National Park hiking, working with their volunteer service and spending time getting to know their future peers. In the future this program looks to expand and offer more consistent programming for students.
