HERE SENT
The event of the INCARNATION is barely off our lips as we turn our attention to what is next. In the unfolding manifestation of “God with us” we are drawn into the action of taking God’s WORD into the worlds we know.
The witness of scripture provides a set of picture stories where God stands among us, speaking to us through fire and wind, leading us through the desert and into the promised land. We would describe these occasions as God speaking in the HERE, leading HERE, being HERE.
We know that God does not leave the HERE alone, nor should we. We read story after story about the God who directs our hands and feet deeply into our present and into God’s future, to the places where we are SENT.
While we stand in the presence of God HERE, we are also propelled to the places where God needs us. We are SENT. We are SENT to use our talents and abilities, to live in community with others, to advocate and serve, to proclaim the good news, and strive for justice and peace in the whole world.
Chapel preachers are selected from among the student, faculty, and staff community. The music ranges from our fabulous organ to lively contemporary sounds.
